JAMES CARMICHAEL was born at Parkneuk, Dunfermline, at 2:10 PM on the 26th of August 1884.
Son of John Carmichael and Mary Bain.
James is at 1 Blackburn, Dunfermline, on the 1891 census and at 184 Baldridgeburn, Dunfermline, on the 1901 census. He was an Apprentice Tailor at the time of the 1901 census. At the time of his marriage he was living at Parkneuk. His occupation is now Coal Miner, but he was latterly employed as a Railway Surfaceman.

ANNIE SMYTH was born at 29 Upper Ormond Quay, Dublin, on the 28th of August 1889.
Daughter of James Smyth and Catherine Byrne.
Annie is either in Dublin or somewhere in England (probably Liverpool) on the 1891 census. Family history has it that she remained for some time in Dublin with her grandparents when James and Catherine came over to the mainland. She is at 70 Carrick Street, Glasgow, on the 1901 census. At the time of her marriage she was living at 45 Golfdrum Street, Dunfermline. Her occupation is Laundry Worker.
